Sheet 03 · Workshop
Specification of works
Six lines of work, each with a fixed diagnosis price and a stated time on the sheet. Repair figures follow the measurements; nothing is ordered before you approve them.
| Pos. | Work | What it includes | Time on the sheet | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | High-voltage diagnostics |
| 2–3 h | from $185 |
| 02 | Battery health & SoH report |
| 1 day | from $290 |
| 03 | Hybrid driveline service |
| 1–2 days | from $420 |
| 04 | Charging & onboard charger repair |
| 1–3 days | from $340 |
| 05 | Brake & regenerative system service |
| half day | from $210 |
| 06 | Pre-purchase EV inspection |
| 3–4 h | from $240 |
Five columns do not fit a phone — drag the table sideways for the time and price.
Quote first
The diagnosis is a fixed figure quoted before the car arrives. Repair work is quoted from the readings.
Numbers, not adjectives
Every measurement is written onto the job sheet by hand and repeated after the repair, so the change is documented.
One day's notice
A pack below 20 % is charged before it is lifted. That adds a day, and we say so at booking rather than at collection.
Specification 04
How a job moves through the workshop
The same six stages for every car, whether it was bought here or elsewhere.
| Pos. | Stage | What happens | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Booking | Call or email. We ask for the VIN and the exact symptom, then quote before the car arrives. | same day |
| 02 | Intake & isolation | Battery state recorded, service plug pulled, the car logged against its own drawing number. | 30 min |
| 03 | Measurement | Every reading is written onto the job sheet by hand — never estimated, never guessed. | 1–3 h |
| 04 | Approval | You get the numbers and the price. No work starts on a part the sheet does not authorise. | your call |
| 05 | Repair & re-test | The same measurement is repeated after the repair so the delta is on the record. | 1–2 days |
| 06 | Handover | Signed sheet, photographed readings, and a plain-language note on what to watch next. | 20 min |
Drag the table sideways for the duration column.
Important · What we do not do
Four jobs we turn away
A workshop is defined as much by what it refuses as by what it sells. These four are refused for the same reason every time.
| Pos. | Job | Why not |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Cell-level pack rebuilds | Opening a sealed traction pack voids the manufacturer warranty and removes the car from any resale market we would stand behind. |
| 02 | Software unlocks and range “boost” files | Unapproved BMS calibration changes the safety envelope of the pack. We will not sign off on a car carrying one. |
| 03 | Towing and roadside recovery | We are a workshop, not a recovery operator. We will name a licensed high-voltage tow provider instead. |
| 04 | Same-day work on a discharged pack | A pack below 20 % cannot be safely lifted or tested. It is charged first, which adds a day, and we say so up front. |
Drag the table sideways for the reason column.
Bring the VIN and the exact symptom. Mon–Fri · 08:00–18:00 · Eastern Time (UTC−5)
Next step
Not sure which line of the sheet you need?
Describe the symptom on the phone. If the answer is a diagnostic, we book the diagnostic and nothing else — no package, no upsell, no parts ordered on a guess.
